Product 1442--led push button latching switch
A member of the support staff instructed me on how to wire this device so when I push the button to "On" power will illuminate the switch. At this point I'm confused as how to connect this to a 9v battery which goes to my project so when I push the button to "On" it will also allow juice to go to the project as well as illuminate the led. Thanks for any advice.

We need to know the rest of the connections to give a useful answer.

Thanks for your fast response. I'm including two jpegs, one is the amp module and the other is the power module. In the power module my actual circuit is going to eliminate the dc jack and the slide switch, just leaving the 9v bat. and your latching, push button, led switch to control the power to the amp module.adafruit_support_mike wrote:We need to know the rest of the connections to give a useful answer.

If you want to control the positive voltage from the battery, connect that to one of the lugs on the switch.
Connect the other lug to the circuit whose power you want to control, and to the positive end of the built-in LED.
Connect the negative end of the built-in LED to GND.
The basic idea is to put the LED in parallel with the circuit whose power you want to control. Then the switch controls the connection to the positive voltage on the battery.
