Adafruit PowerBoost 500 + Charger Lipo Soldering Question

Post by amason101070 »

Hi,

I was hoping someone could guide me with regard to soldering a lipo battery directly to the the Adafruit PowerBoost 500C instead of plugging into the JST connector. I checked the product page and read the following "You can connect a battery to the breakout strip or to the JST connector." Do I solder the positive wire to BAT pin and the negative to the GND pin? I just want to make sure I do this correctly. I remember soldering a lipo directly to the neg and pos where the JST Connector was that I had snipped off, but that was on a back pack. The PowerBoost 500C pinouts page says "breakout strip" so I am just checking.

Thank you in advance for taking time to respond,

Solder the battery wires into the BAT and GND pins at the upper right in the image above.
