Re: Pi zero defective?
I checked it out on a PC minus and sd card and it popped up like normal. So i installed raspbian lite again and the error showed up immediately.

So it passed that sanity check. But doesn't boot.
Could it be power related? What are you using for a power supply and cable?

Re: Pi zero defective?
I'm using the same power cable assured to work on the pi zero 1.3 on the pi zero w. After uninstalling and reinstalling rapsbian lite I'm attaching photos of 3 different boots on the pi zero w and finally using the same exact set up with a successful boot (same install on the same sd card and same power supply) on the pi zero 1.3.

This is the successful boot on the pi zero 1.3 again with the same install, same sd card, and same power supply.

Re: Pi zero defective?
Just tried to see if n00bs would do anything different and again only worked on the pi zero 1.3.

Thanks for all the troubleshooting attempts.
Not sure what it is. Let's just go ahead and try a replacement. Send an email to [email protected] with a link to this thread and your order number and they can get you a replacement Pi Zero W.
