TV-B-Gone kits

I am interested in purchasing a couple of TV-B-Gone kits https://www.adafruit.com/product/73 to run some tests.
The Parts List of the specs indicates that the microcontroller comes preprogrammed.
I would like to also purchase a few IR sensors that will be operated by the kit. For instance TSOP 384 receiver or similar.
In order to get the right sensors I would appreciate it if you could indicate the carrier frequency of the microcontroller & IR transmitters. I would guess it is in the 38kHz range but I am not sure.

The TV-B-Gone defaults to a 38.4kHz carrier, and is compatible with the TSOP38238:
