led board caught fire

by embelcourt on Thu Feb 14, 2019 2:01 pm

I had my 64X32 led board plugged inn and hooked up while trying to figure out how to make it do stuff when I see smoke coming out it and I find that the board was on fire. This was by accident and I was wondering if you had some sort of warranty replacement for accidental damage and if you could send another one. Also if you have any instructions to make sure that that this doesn't happen again and that everything is hooked up correctly that would be appreciated

Sorry that happened, but our return policy is generally for unopened items, details here (scroll to Returns):
https://www.adafruit.com/shippinginfo

We do have a guide that covers powering and wiring the matrix here:
https://learn.adafruit.com/32x16-32x32-rgb-led-matrix/

It's not clear if your display worked initially, or if you got the smoke in the process of trying to get it to work.
