Need help to get a Nema 17 Stepper Motor working with a Ardu

by BoredDuck on Sat Feb 16, 2019 10:08 pm

I've had very little experience with the Arduino Uno and completely new to stepper motors.

The stepper motor I would like to use for a small project is the Nema 17 Stepper Motor Bipolar 2A 59Ncm(84oz.in).

I know I need a driver but with so many out there I don't know which one would be able to handle this motor. Also will a power adapter 100V - 240V To DC 12V 5A be sufficient to power up the Arduino, driver and motor or do I need a separate power supply just for the motor?

Side Note:
I do have a Adafruit Motor/Stepper/Servo Shield for Arduino v2 that I'm testing out with a smaller stepper motor but I'm currently having issues with that as well. I'm seeking help on that issue in another thread in this Forum.
