Use break beam sensors to "short" a trigger?

by vullandnoid on Wed Apr 24, 2019 12:55 pm

I have the mini sound FX board and want to combine it with the IR Break Beam Sensors I bought to play sounds when the beam is broken. Unlike a previous similar question in the forums, though, I'm not using any logic board -- just the FX board (and the output amp). So: can the break beam sensors be used to simply "short" one of the FX board's triggers when the beam is broken?

It looks like it takes the signal wire to ground so if that is what you need you could use it to control the pin.

Thanks! Sounds like I just need to wire it up and give it a try, then. :)
