Looking for a part.

Post by mattconn24 »

Hello i was needing a pin female 0.1" header for use on my Adafruit ProtoBoard for my Arduino. I went to my local Radio Shack thinking that it would be no problem to find this part but they didn't have any and acted like they didn't know what i was talking about when i asked. Anyways anyone know another place to get a part like this other then online cause i would hate to pay 6 bucks for a .45 cent part. thanks

Well, I'm not sure where you are located (I'm guessing U.S.), but I would suggest checking the Yellow Pages (or dexknows.com) for Electronics Suppliers in your area. My local Dorkbot organization does a bi-weekly group order to Digi-key and Mouser to save on shipping costs and I believe the local hackerspace is working on putting the same thing together.

Dorkbot has a national organization website and there is a list of hackerspaces online as well...
