New Round Panel Mount Adapters

Post by gordiegii »

The descriptions of the new Round Panel Mount Adapters say they are 30 mm diameter. I assume that is the overall diameter of the flange, but what is the required hole diameter?
Would I be correct in assuming that it is 22 or 22.5 mm? (~7/8", the standard knock out size for a 1/2" electrical conduit and many industrial push buttons and panel lamps)

Either 22mm or 22.5mm should work. The drawings say the OD of the thread is 20.5mm.

Do you think the data sheet will ever be available on the product page?

What we have is already there. We don't know of any other documentation from the vendor.

Which drawing shows the 20.5mm OD on the thread?

Hmm... Not sure, looks like that might be the distance across the flats. Could you measure one if you have them in stock?

That's why I suggested adding a couple millimeters for tolerance originally. We've used them ourselves in 22.5mm holes, but you can take it up to 25.4 if you want to be sure.

As long as the hole is smaller than 30mm, the flange will cover it.

I believe the drawing shows that the flange is 28 mm. Only the nut is 30.

Last I checked, 28 was still larger than 22.5.

And even bigger than 25.4 if you want to be picky. So as long as we stay below 27 it shouldn't be a problem, but I would suggest staying below 23.95 or you could get it off center and have the edge of the hole peek out from behind the flange. It would still be secure, just look sloppy.
