Neotrellis from scratch

by okyeron on Wed Jun 12, 2019 6:20 pm

A quick question about neotrellis boards...

I'm going to build a handful of neotrellis boards from scratch (I've ordered pcbs and will source components). I will eventually use a neotrellis M4 to drive all the boards.

I am unclear from the documentation - Does the ATSAMD09D14A-MU chip require programming for use on Neotrellis? I would be sourcing the ATSAMD09 from Mouser.

OK thank you.

To clarify more explicitly...

Each ATSAMD09 chip needs to be flashed with the seesaw firmware, is that correct?

Are there any resources available for using OpenOCD for that task?

FWIW - I don't need a custom version of seesaw or to do development, I'll just want to load the default seesaw firmware for the ATSAMD09.

Thanks again.

Each board will need the firmware. It's basically the brains for each one. We have this general guide:

and of course the schematics for the NeoTrellis itself:
