Beginner Android Game Controller Help

So I was following this guide along and everything makes sense. The end product is a bluetooth device acting as a keyboard that can transmit "w, a, s, d" for pc movement controls. But I want to be able to adopt this for android/ios. On these platforms all bluetooth controllers seem to work with all apps that have built in controller support. So my question is then what do I have to do to remap the pins on the EZ Key bluefruit device (or other blue fruit device because ez key is discontinued) to get a gamepad to work seamlessly on mobile applications?

The BLE devices can work as wireless keyboards, but youโ€™ll need software on the Android device that knows how to convert the key codes to game control.
