Sound board limitation question

by Devindecator on Fri Aug 02, 2019 1:08 am

I have the sound board with amp and I have been able to make it work with ease. I want to add a laser to shoot when I activate the sound. Would I be able to wire up the laser to the board or trigger?

I’m making a laser shooting pistol with sound. I don’t have much room to work with so I would like to keep it as small as possible. Any help would be appreciated

I also have the issue of when I disconnect and reconnect the battery, it somehow won’t even recognize that I’m activating the trigger. Has anybody had this issue? It works again when I reload the file from the computer.

You can probably connect the laser in parallel with the trigger pin.

There's no problem in pulling multiple circuits to GND at the same time. You just have to be careful about what the circuits do when they aren't connected to GND. As long as your laser control signal can sit at-or-near 3.3V like the trigger pin, they'll coexist peacefully.
