I've found continuous servos a pain if you need to stop them. They're fine for continuous motion, though, and are easy to mount.

Steppers might be just what you need. The driver circuitry is a bit more involved, but there are some good driver breakouts available.

Oh, do the stepper motors need the motor connection on the hat? If so mine are full.

A stepper has 4 connections and most drivers let you use 2 DC motor connections to drive a stepper. See https://learn.adafruit.com/all-about-stepper-motors.

The more I looked at my options, I am going to try to make the continuous servo work. (otherwise I would have to buy another motor hat) I figured out my work around, with only one small issue.
The continuous servo won't start until the standard servo has cycled and then I have to reboot to stop it.
I've attached a photo of the code.
I'm missing something, I think.
