Thanks for the photos.

For the issue with scratches - did all the displays arrive with the protective sticker still on the screen?

For the other issues, it may be connection related. The soldering looks potentially marginal on some of the pads. Also, keep in mind that for SPI mode usage, jumpers need to be soldered on the back of the board:

Let's pick one to try some further troubleshooting. This one:

Make sure the SPI mode jumpers on the back are adequately soldered. Post another photo showing that solder job on the mode jumpers.

Also, try reflowing the pins for better soldered coverage, esp. the CLK pin:

The displays all came with the plastic protective film on them.

DEFECTIVE SCREENS.
BUGGED SCREEN (SPONGEY TEXTURED SCREEN)
REPEAT INCIDENCE, CORRECTIVE ACTION NEEDED.
PLEASE ISSUE ME AN RMA # , YOUR SHIPPING ADDRESS AND UPS ACCOUNT # AS SOON AS POSSIBLE SO I CAN RETURN THESE TO YOU FOR NO CHARGE REWORK OR NO CHARGE REPLACEMENT.

Did you try reflowing the soldering on the pins as suggested above? Based on the photos, the issues could be soldering related. We need to verify the soldering is good before suspecting the displays are bad.

please also check the back of the PCB, there is a socket for the TFT display that could have come loose
'spongey' display doesnt make sense - you ordered a touchscreen display, the touchscreen has a soft cover.
