Amg8833 Thermal camera not working

Hi, I have a problem with my Amg 8833 thermal camera sensor.
I am using the Arduino UNO for the connection And after followed all the steps on the Adafruit website for the connection and example code.
The Serial Monitor shows the value is -127.94. It is not showing as a room temp.
please help.

Are the header pins soldered on the breakout?

not soldered, just simply plug in.

Unfortunately, that won't create a reliable enough connection for it to work.
