Light (TSL2561) Sensor and UV Sensor (VEML6075) Sensor issue

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am Aakash from Phoenix Robotix Pvt. Ltd. We are using your Light Sensor (TSL2561 breakout module, https://www.adafruit.com/product/439) and UV Light Sensor (VEML 6075 breakout module, https://www.adafruit.com/product/3964)in our IOT products (annual Volume:100-500) for the last 5 years. Currently we are facing issues with the sensor.

In the long run of the sensor after installation, We are getting some issues in both the sensors listed below:

Light Sensor:
1) It is showing inaccurate value in the actual environment.
2) Sensors sometimes give zero value.

UV Sensor:
1) It is showing inaccurate value in the actual environment.
2) Sensors sometimes give spikes in its output value.

What could be the possible reason for this? Please suggest.

Also, I have some questions/quarry listed below:

1. What is the working principle of these two Sensors?

2. What is the installed procedure/guidelines to install these sensors in a IOT product? I have attached the image for your reference to visualize our installation/connection with the circuit. If we are doing something wrong, Please feel free to explain.
NOTE: We have kept the sensor in a transparent ABS plastic cap and then exposed it to the environment. The connection between sensor and circuit is done wiring (20-30cm).
3. What is the durability of these sensors for its accurate data?

Please share the necessary documents with us also.
