Help with choice

by mobel84 on Wed May 27, 2020 2:33 pm

I would appreciate suggestions for choosing a solution. I need a solution on the door outside an office to show if it is busy or not. I envision a series of 10 LEDs mounted on the top of the door frame with a simple off button which could also have been the source of the battery.

Any suggestions to what I should choose. Best battery life, fewer LED´s or a LED strip instead?

Hi, mobel84!

I'd start with the excellent basic guide, Let’s Put LEDs in Things!, in the Adafruit Learning System. This is a simple guide; most of the starter projects in it don't require a microcontroller.

Welcome to the Forums!

Will love to see your progress.

Cheers,

Eric
