Will these switches work?

by FunkyELF on Thu Aug 13, 2020 9:58 pm

This is on a Digitech RP300A guitar multi-effects pedal I've had since high school.
I never really played but picked it up in the last year or so.
It worked for a week or two but then one of the switches stopped working.
I've since moved on and have equipment that isn't 20 years old... don't really need this but if I can fix it for cheap I can sell it.

I was looking at Tactile Button switch (6mm) x 20 pack. Think that would work?

I'm thinking I'd probably wanna replace all 3 switches right? Maybe internal corrosion, oxidation or something?

Those look like pretty standard 6mm tactile switches, so the ones in the store should work.

Yeah, I figured for $2.50 why not give it a try. If they don't work I can still use them on my breadboard.

I found someone selling the switches (here) for 200x the price. $15.50 for 6 switches.

Cheers

Actually, looking at the back of your board in the photo, I only see solder points for 2 pins. A little less common than the 4-pin variety we carry. You might need something like these:

I noticed that too but figured I'd just use 2 of the 4 pins. Thanks for the link, a good fallback if these won't work.
