anyone want to make some boards for me? $$$$$$$$$

Post by turbochris »

I need some boards like this. They're pretty simple, RS232 converted to TTL via a MAX232 which connects with a toshiba optical interface module. I only have pictures to work off. I have the PDF for the opto module. I need the boards to be as close as possible to the same size and the location of the opto and D9 connector.
There is one difference I want to have on these boards, I don't need the big power converter. I don't understand why they used these when there's 5 volts available inside the PC that these things work with. All I need is a pin header for the power. I'd like the header to have 3 pins, the first pin would be 0v, the second pin would be +5v and the third pin would go to pin 9 of the D9 connector. Some of the motherboards I use have the ability to power up pin 9 on the D9 connector. When I use one of these boards i could just put a jumper between pins 2 and 3.

I'm interested in bare boards or soldered up units ready to go.

If anyone is interested, let me know. While i don't have an exact schematic, I have a good collection of data on the parts used to build the board shown.

About the hatched plane- I don't know what the advantage is but I bet it helped my new best friend oPosum reverse engineer the one in the pictures. Built in graph paper!
