Need Programmer for Arduino museum project

by gplatek on Thu Oct 07, 2010 1:27 pm

Hi!

I'm currently designing and building a series of exhibits for a museum using Arduinos for control. I'm looking for someone who can build a program to my specs. This is a paying job. Not a lot of bucks though as this IS a museum job.

Heh. I've often thought that OSHW/OSSW should have an "open museum" project. God knows I've seen enough apparently one-time attempts at switches/sensors/etc that attempt to address the very significant reliability issues inherent in such devices. And fail :-( Ie museums have fancy interactive exhibits, and they're usually broken. I think the technology exists to implement much more reliable interaction, probably at lower cost than current schemes, and wouldn't it be nice to only have to design it once. (probably not; it'd put too many museum tinker people out of work...)

Or is your project more unique to your particular exhibit?
