program can't upload to Pybadge

Post by Minshan »

I had a Pybadge board. When I used it to connect MLX90640, a thermal camera, the Pybadge board smoke. I seemed to connect a wrong wire accidentally. Then, I had a try to see whether it can work. At the beginning, my computer can detect it. I uploaded Arduino code. And it said "Done uploading". But after few seconds, the screen of Pybadge would turn black and the LED would turn off, too. My computer showed" USB device cannot identify". I guess somewhere of it had broken. What can I do? Is there any method to solve it? Thanks.

Can you remember how you connected it wrongly? Can you rember if for example 5V was connected to the M4 chip?
These boards usually have reverse polarity protection. If a high voltage comes in on VBat or USB then the power section might take the hit, those parts can be replaced if you can solder these relative large SMT components, but if the chip itself got the hit things are probably beyond the effort to repair.
Can you still double-tap reset and does it mount as drive?
Can you upload new firmware:

These are easy to try steps, not sure if it helps, but always worth trying.
