raspberry Pi 4 freezes while trying to run recalbox

My raspberry Pi 4 freezes while trying to run recalbox added it to sd using Raspberry PI Imager
tried using a different sd still freezes then it stopped booting.
Tried to use bootloader on Raspberry PI Imager to fix it.
I get a red screen not a green one and it still not booting
so dont know where to go from here?

Does the Pi4 boot from a fresh install of the current Raspbian image?

I tried to install RetroPie the green led blinks afew times then stops
then the red one stays. monitor is getting a signal but its just a black screen.

Installed Raspberry pi OS 32 The Screen is only showing a rainbow of colors

Is there a lightning bolt icon in the lower right corner of that image, or is that just a reflection?

The lightning bolt means the RasPi doesn’t have enough power. That can happen with the Pi4 because it wants more current than sny other version.

Its a reflection,
am using a 5V 2.5A PSU I believe should be enough
Haven't seen any lighting bolt for the short time It was working
tried
using different HDMI cables, power cables, different power adapters,
different SD cards loaded image using different computers and different software
am not sure what else I can tried?

If power is good and the board won't boot from the default image, there's a problem with the hardware.
