Quality issue with a display

Post by pmh »

This concerns the order number: 2618295-7043627834 and the part number: ID 1680 (TFT Display without Touchscreen)

I received my order very quickly and you sent me also immediately the bill that was required from customs, I appreciate much.

I have a doubt concerning the quality of the connector of the display.
The copper from one of the channels has another color. I could not determine if it is dirty or oxidated. I tried to clean it with a Q-tip and antioxidation spray, no success. See pictures

Could you please:
- send me a replacement for this display, Is there a way to replace only the connector and to keep the display?
or
- inform me on how to clean this contact.
Regards

Google suggests a pencil eraser and rubbing alcohol to clean contacts.

If you purchased this item from us in the last month we can replace it for you. Just let us know how you would like to proceed.

The trick with pencil eraser and rubbing alcohol to clean contacts works.
I used a Q-Tip to clean with alcohol and when still wet I rub the surface.
It takes some time because I did it gently to preserve the surface, but it is better than contact spray.

Cool. I have not tried that myself so happy to have the confirmation. Thank you for the feedback.
