4PCB/Advanced $33each+panel

Post by roberts »

Your PCB cost calculator page has an entry named "33each+panelize".

http://www.ladyada.net/library/pcb/costcalc.html

I am unable to get any response from Advanced Circuits about this offer. Is this a service that you have used? Do you know what it takes to get the 33each+panel offer from them?

That gets me to the $33each page. I've seen that.

The defaults for the adafruit PCB cost comparison calculator are for a 3x3 qty 3 board.

The 33board line results in a quantity of 4 PCBs, $33.00 each, total of $119.00 including shipping.

The 33board+panelize line results in a quantity of 24 PCBs, $6.21 each, total of $169.00 including shipping.

That is significantly different of you need 24 boards.

I THINK (but am not sure), that the "panelize" assumes you panelize your design (tile multiple boards onto one) prior to sending it out, and you depanelize (cut) the boards when you receive them in this particular case.

I did finally find a couple of answers. This describes it well. Thanks!
