Hi Mikey! This project has come a long way, thanks to your help!

I'm getting close to mounting the parts into this thinghttps://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005P ... UTF8&psc=1 and wondered if you had any tips. Can I just hot glue the audio FX sound boards to the case inside? What about the LiPo battery? Do I have to worry about heat management at all?

Thank you so much! Will definitely post the finished product.

Those buttons look great. This is really coming along nicely.

What material is the enclosure you will be mounting the board to? If it is wood or plastic I would try and use small mounting bolts or screws for the 100 mill wide holes. If your surface is metallic then it would be a good idea to use standsoffs. The Black Nylon Machine Screws and standoff set is a goto for many of my projects.

I finally got around to attempting to add files to my project.
I have 2 cd's with well over 4000 sound bites.
I was under the impression once you connect the micro usb and to any computer it would show up as a thumb drive.
I have tried 5 computers winxp,win7Pro,win10,win11 and MacOs. none of them see the device as a thumb drive so I guess I am unable to upload files.

any help would be great, email, phone or here
thanks

I just used a single pole 11 position switch and a single push button just as easy as all the momentary buttons. but i like the pcb for sure.
I use www.easyeda.com......

imruffsdad wrote:Hey Maybedave, I just finished a prototype of something similar to this a week or so ago. I have a 16 button matrix in which each button plays a different sound effect. This uses a Feather M4 Express and the MusicMaker Feather Wing that stores the files and plays them. I have it on a protoboard but the two Feather products could easily stack and take up very little space. Just FYI if you're interested. I can post better pictures and the code if you want. The caveat is that the MusicMaker only works, as far as I know, on an Arduino platfrom.
