Hi, I previously purchased this 3.7V 2500 mAh lipo battery (https://www.adafruit.com/product/328) and I was wondering what gauge wire it uses. It looks like 30 AWG, but it doesn't say anywhere.
I ask because I removed the connector and placed the individual wires in terminal blocks, but the blocks have chopped off some of the wire strands (and I will need to continue to remove and reinsert the wires for charging). Regarding a permanent solution, I've read that tinning is a bad idea because of the mechanical pressure from the blocks, and instead I should use ferrules. These are the smallest ferrules I could find, (https://www.digikey.com/en/products/det ... 014/266404), but they only go up to 28 AWG. Thanks!
What gauge wire is used in your batteries?

Those use 24 gauge wire.. twice the diameter of 30 gauge, and four times the cross-sectional area.
For terminal block connections, yes: ferrules are probably the best choice of wire termination.

Note that we recently added a ferrule assortment to the store: https://www.adafruit.com/product/5131
