Mark Rober's Curtesy Horn using Audio FX Sound Board

Post by BorisEkner »

Hi all, this is my first post.

Mark Rober made a curtesy horn for his VW Jetta.

I want to make the same horn but cannot find the soundboard he used, Amazon: Adafruit Audio FX Sound Board - WAV/OGG Trigger with 16MB Flash.
The soundboard Mr. Rober used had a usb power input on one side and a 3.5mm sound output on the opposite side. The soundboards I have found at Amazon, and Adafruit, only has one of connector and it kind of looks different.

Here is a picture of Mr. Robers soundboard

- If the soundboard still exits, please help me find it.
- If the soundboard no longer exist, can you advice which one I can use instead?

With my fingers crossed I find help.

There are several different versions of the Audio FX Board. Some come with an amp, some don't. There are different storage sizes, etc.

The info in the youtube video links to this product:
https://www.adafruit.com/product/2341
However, what is shown in the video appears to be this product:
https://www.adafruit.com/product/2220

Here's the general product category which has all of the Audio FX Board options:

I favor this soundboard for my little project, https://www.adafruit.com/product/2220.

- As the description doesn't say, can you please tell me what USB port it has, is it Micro USB or USB-C?

Best regards
