omxlayer has no installation candidate
I'm simply trying to install omxplayer but I get the message "E: Package 'omxplayer' has no installation candidate". I can't seem to figure out what this means. Anyone have any ideas? I'm pretty clueless when it comes to Linux and command line stuff in general. Attached is a screenshot of the terminal response.

Re: omxlayer has no installation candidate
That means the repo sever you’re using doesn’t have a copy of the omxplayer package, and doesn’t know where to find one.
Apparently omxplayer has been deprecated on Raspbian Bullseye, and support effort is being redirected to vlc:

Gotcha. I did figure out that installing an older version of Raspbian included omxplayer so that's working for me now.adafruit_support_mike wrote:That means the repo sever you’re using doesn’t have a copy of the omxplayer package, and doesn’t know where to find one.
