The Mini Thermal Receipt Printer guide says to wire the USB ground to the printer ground. Is that the same ground as I am using for power? A little further down on the guide it clarifies that it wants me to wire to the black wire next to the yellow wire, but the Nano Thermal Receipt Printer has no black wire next to the yellow wire.
There are five wire options on the printer, listed in order: VIN (red), DTR (yellow), TX (green), RX (blue), and GND (black).

Yes.GlaEthan wrote:The Mini Thermal Receipt Printer guide says to wire the USB ground to the printer ground. Is that the same ground as I am using for power?
Ground is the reference for all other voltages in the circuit. You can connect the Thermal Printer's GND to any GND pin on the RasPi's GPIO header, or to GND on your power supply.
