That's a bit of a tricky soldering job... batteries are touchy things and there are several things that could go wrong. If you're not experienced and confident with soldering and working around LiPos, I suggest you get a new battery and dispose of that one appropriately.

Also, it seems like those JST-PH s break easily. This has happened before but with an AAA battery pack.
Is there a particular reason for that?

The JST-PH is actually just the white connector at the end of the wires.

Yes, it's because the wire gets flexed/bent repeatedly and they aren't designed to handle that. They're meant to be put in place in an enclosure and left alone. Not the most hobbyist friendly. You can use a bit of tape to tape down the wire to the battery so that it isn't being bent where it's soldered. And generally just be aware of this when handling it.
