Hi, I am working on a wearable project that involves a small information display- but since I plan on using it outdoors, the display would have to contend with the local sunlight.
I have two specific displays here in mind, at this point in the designing they are interchangeable but the size is not. They are IDs 4741 and 5206- the 1.5" grayscale OLED and the 1.69" rounded rectangle TFT.
Between those two, which one would be better suited for outdoor lighting? They don't have to be perfect of course, but since it is a wearable that would use a Li-ion battery, I can't draw too much power for a backlight.
The piece would be similar to a vambrace over the forearm as part of a wider cosplay. I'd be open to know too if there's an option that I'm missing. I don't think an e-ink display would fit well, as they're too light in color and don't have a fast enough refresh rate to fit a light cyberpunk theme.
Thank you for reading, I hope this made sense!

Re: TFT v OLED for Sunlight Visibility
I think this is your best bet for outdoor visibility and power draw is this one:

The OLED's imo are very dim.
