Alternative for Adafruit MiniBoost 5V @ 1A for neopixel torc

Post by bacos001 »

Hi all,

I'm currently trying to do the neopixel torch, https://learn.adafruit.com/neopixel-flame-torch, but the Adafruit MiniBoost 5V @ 1A - TPS61023 required by the project is not in stock, and I don't know when it will be available again. Is there something else I can use in its place so I can complete my project? Don't know if it matters, but I am not actually powering my torch with a battery, and instead I'm connecting the GEMMA M0 to a wall outlet using the microusb port.

If you are powering via USB, there will be 5v power available on the VOUT pin. No boosting will be necessary.
