Hi,
I'm interested in a IR blaster for the AdaFruit FunHouse. Maybe I can use something like the AW9523 (STEMMA GPIO Expander) to drive an IR LED.
The problem I want to solve is I have an external shop with an LG mini split HVAC unit. I would like to keep liquids in the shop from freezing. On heating mode, the minimum temperature is 60 F, and I don't want to leave it set to 60 F when not in use. My idea is that the FunHouse could monitor the temperature, and if below, say, 40 F it could turn on the heat, and turn it off when it gets to, say, 45 F. (As far as I know, these units cannot be controlled by a thermostat, only with the remote.)
I also have a FLIRC around here somewhere. If I can find it, maybe I can use it to read the IR codes from the remote, using a Raspberry Pi or laptop.
(Is there another section of the forum I should be in?)

Re: IR Blaster for a FunHouse
Also, where do I find the power requirements for the FunHouse?
