Hello,
I want to add a battery to my RPI Zero. I would like the ability to charge and use the RPI at the same time (Uninterruptible Power Supply).
So I bought the Micro Lipo but I'm not sure how to connect to the RPI. Can I just solder the 5V and GND pins to the RPI's ones and that's it?
Or do I need to also use something like the Lipo Shim (which I also have) and how do I connect everything?
My guess is that I need to use both. Connect the battery to the Micro Lipo and then connect together the Micro Lipo and the Lipo Shim by wiring Micro Lipo's 5V and GND to Lipo Shim's BAT+ and GNG. Am I correct?
Any help appreciated. Thanks

You do need both. You can connect the Micro Lipo to the Shim by connecting from GND & BAT on the MicroLipo to
to the GND & BAT pins the Shim.
to the GND & BAT pins the Shim.

Thank you very much for your answer. So what's the 5V pin for?

The 5v pin on the MicroLipo is connected to the input of the battery charge controller chip. There is only voltage on that pin when the MicroLipo is connected to USB.
