Pro Trinket ATmega328

Post by botland »

Hello,
we have a problem with Pro Trinket ATmega328 - Microcontroller - 5V 16MHz - Adafruit 2000 - When connecting to the computer, the microcontroller is not detected - an error appears as in the picture. We tested on other computers and wires - same problem. Customer purchased a larger quantity of the product and the problem affects 24 pieces of the product.

Are other Trinket's working using the exact same USB cables, port, and PC?

Also note that the Pro Trinket is a deprecated product. See warning on product page:
https://www.adafruit.com/product/2000
Deprecation Warning: The Pro Trinket bit-bang USB technique it uses doesn't work as well as it did in 2014, many modern computers won't work well. So while we still carry the Pro Trinket so that people can maintain some older projets, we no longer recommend it.

hiya just to check, because the pro trinket has an old USB system - does the red LED blink or pulse on the bad pro trinket's when reset button is pressed? if not, we can replace. if it does - it could be a USB cable or hub issue :)

The red LED is not lit. The green LED is on all the time, picture attached. The reset button does not change anything.

ok we did have a few boards that didnt get programmed go into the shop, this must have intersected! email support@adafruit for replacement boards.

if you are in the USA and the boards are not soldered to we could recycle them - ask support for an RMA "FORPHIL" :)
