US5881LUA Hall effect sensor

Post by baruchli »

Hello,

I plan to read wall clock hand location with US5881LUA sensor, located on the tip of clock hand. Naturally I have to locate magnets on clock face circle. I suppose there will be number of magnets and I do not need strong once like High-strength 'rare earth' magnet. What magnets you can suggest, tiny but strong enough to be detected by US5881LUA?

You don't need much of a magnet - as long as the sensor is relatively close. You might try K&J Magnetics for a good selection of magnets in all sizes.
