Polarity of PID 997 terminals

by fjz on Tue Nov 13, 2012 10:06 pm

Hi I just bought solenoid valve #997. There is no marking on terminals - how can I tell which is +12VDC and which is ground? thanks.

Is this still the case with the 996 https://www.adafruit.com/products/996?

Yes. The solenoid doesn't care which end of the wire is positive, it just needs current.
