Touchscreen not working properly on Kodi

by arendwierks on Fri Apr 24, 2015 5:58 pm

Dear Adafruit,

I'm having a problem and I hope you can help me with it. I bought a 7 inch touchscreen and a TFP401 HDMI decoder to 40-pin ttl for using with my Raspberry Pi 2.
I've installed Raspbian Wheezy and the touchscreen works great with the gui. But when I launch Kodi the touchscreen suddenly isn't working properly anymore.
The touchscreen works but only in the top left hand corner. I can move the cursor all over the screen with my finger but only if I stay in the top left corner. If I go to far the pointer disappears out of the screen.
I hope you can help me with this.
Many thanks in advance,

Arend

we've never used kodi personally but have heard that by default the touchscreen support isn't 'smart' enough to know that the mouse values are 0-4096 or something. not sure what the solution is. if you do figure out anything please let us know because the mouse HID values are valid and work under every other OS :/

Hey Adafruit,

I finally found a solution for my problem and wrote a tutorial for it: http://arendwierks.blogspot.nl/p/touchs ... -kodi.html
I hope this will help others with the same problem!

Best regards,
Arend
