Because you all helped me PERFECTLY last year i'm now back for more.

i have a prop that needs 12 led lights in an in line circuit (each dot represents one in the example picture).

the glove is hollow and meant to held by an internal handle. the power switch needs to be on this handle, while the power supply needs to be easily accessible externally.

the lights need to be BRIGHT, and are for the usual 16 hours of turning on and off the prop during conventions. i dont care how many batteries i might go through.

i need a separate switch, power supply and the type and number of resistors needed from this site specifically.

i am an artist, not an engineer and my brain shuts down with all the tech talk, but i can follow directions like nobody's business.

i'm good at soldering wires, not very experienced with anything else like bread boards and the like.

when i'm done i'll post the pictures here.

its a fast build so once i have the supplies from here it wont take long.

thanks in advance...an amazon gift card can be arranged for those who help.

What color are the leds? Different colors have different voltages, so you would need to know that to design a circuit.

Just to be clear, you want the leds on all the time? No flickering, fading or just a few leds on at a time.

thanks for the fast replies. the lights are white (Super Bright White 5mm LED (25 pack) PID: 754), and if theres an easy method for making them throb or pulse slowly i'd consider it. just making them turn on and off is satisfactory for me.

To wire them directly (steady light) you could use a 3.7v LiPo cell and wire a 47 ohm resistor in series with each LED.

If you want to do a throbbing or pulsing effect, you would need a small processor such as a Trinket and a transistor to control the current to the LEDs.

Okay, thanks again. I wont worry with the Trinket, as I would have to learn how to program it, wire it, etc. Thats too much for my limited brain capacity. The battery you suggested is a great idea as it is light, powerful, slim, easily hidden and easily recharged.

I'm ordering everything but the resistors, i dont see them available as a stand alone item from here.

We don't stock the resistors at this time. But they are available from the major electronics suppliers such as Mouser. You can also find them on Amazon.

yes, i'm getting them from amazon.

ah shoot, most of your LiPo batteries are out of stock too. is it safe to use one of these: Lithium Ion Battery Pack - 3.7V 6600mAh? or is that overkill?

i built my sword using a 12v power source and those lights are still working, but it WAS on a 12v strip with many LED lights in it.

6600mAh is a bit of overkill, but it would work. Changing to a 12v supply would require using 560 ohm resistors.
