PyGamer will not turn on

Post by dgilberto55 »

Hello, I am having trouble with my PyGamer. I was using CircuitPy to make a turtle drawing and while I was writing the code for the drawing the CircuitPy randomly disconnected, and after clicking the reset button it would connected to CircuitPy for a second or two then disconnect again. After being frustrated with it I left it alone for about an hour and came back to see if it would work, it turned on and CircuitPy connected and stayed connected for about 10 minutes then it started disconnecting again. After letting it sit in the Booter for a couple of minutes the entire PyGamer stopped working. I turned it off and on, clicked the reset button, disconnected the battery and tried to power it by USB-C only, and none of these things worked. Please help.

Does it work on battery, without USB connected?

ried to power it by USB-C only,
Hmm... The PyGamer uses a micro-USB connector.

Anyway. Is it in a case?

I purchased this connector from Adafruit to go with the PyGamer https://www.adafruit.com/product/1197 which is the cable I used to connect it to my computer, it is in my order history. But yes it is in a case, whenever I did not use it I put it back into the purple case that came with the starter kit.

OK, not USB-C. That's a handy micro/mini cable, though.

So you have it in the acrylic bolt-on case?

I'm wondering if something conductive could have gotten stuck to the back of the board.

Yes I assembled it in the acrylic case it came with. I followed this step by step guide https://learn.adafruit.com/adafruit-pyg ... gamer-case
