printing MakeCode block programs in color

Post by adavid7 »

I'd like to create PDFs of some MakeCode programs, with the block view as they appear on screen.

If I use the Print command (in the gear menu), I can see the preview in color, but the actual file that gets generated to print just has B&W outlines. Two screen shots attached show this.

Is there no way to print the sketch as it appears, other than screen shots?

It looks like you are using MacOS. The print preview / pdf generation might be difficult to work with.

Can you use cmd-shift-3 (screenshot) crop and convert to pdf with preview? This worked for me.

Yeah, that's what I did, and it works fine. For bigger programs it would be nice to be able print the whole MakeCode window, though, instead of having to tile multiple screenshots together or zoom in so much that everything is quote small.
