put the bluetooth module of bluefruit in potting

Post by ljmm »

Hello,
I hope you are well.
I'm using your bluefruit card with an antenna chip.
I will put the part (bluetooth + antenna) in the potting? is there an influence of potting on the characteristics (range, transmission, power ...) of the antenna chip?
What is the best antenna type and the least influenced by potting?
Thanks in advance

Plastics are mostly transparent to radio signals, so it shouldn't matter.

You can test that before actually potting a device by casting a small box of potting material and putting the bluetooth module inside it.
