I'm trying to figure out an acceptable way to power a DotStar FeatherWing from a XIAO that is running off a LiPoly Battery - or a Qt Py with the Lipo Backpack BFF whilst keeping the LiPoly charge capability intact. I'm trying to keep the smallest footprint for this device as I plan on it as a wearable.
I see the DotStar FeatherWing gets power directly from the battery via the BAT pin, and not 3.3V regulator on a feather board. Since neither of these smaller boards have a Bat pin, is it safe to connect the featherwing Bat pin directly to a splice in the battery + line and then just connect ground from the featherwing to the mcu as normal? I plan to connect the featherwing En pin and mcu En pins to an on/off switch hoping it won't drain the battery in this case.
Thank you!
DotStar FeatherWing powered by QT Py or XIAO
