5" touchscreen backpack
So I purchased a 5" screen backpack with touch support and it works fine. The only part I am having trouble with is the touch part of it. Does the AR1100 Touch controller come separate? I even tried to configure it with the AR configuration utility but it did not recognize the device. Please help. What am I doing wrong?

The AR1100 comes on the display's PCB.
Could you post a photo showing the back of the board please? 800x600 images usually work best.

The quality is fine. I just wanted to make sure the AR1100 was on the board. It's the smaller chip to the left of the Adafruit logo.
How are you connecting the backpack to your computer?

I use the power cable that supplies power and also the hdmi cable because my laptop comes with a hdmi port.

You also need a USB connection. That's how the AR1100 communicates with the computer.

I connected the usb cable to the computer which also supplied power. If there is another one where can I get it?

Check your cable to make sure it actually carries USB data.
Lots of cables with micro-USB connectors are 'charge only' cables, and don't have any wires connected to the data pins.
