Hello, I am using the TLC59711 (modified for 60mA) to drive your ERM pancake motors. The ERM operates from 2V to 5V, but I am only getting a max of 2.4V from the TLC59711. I have tried powering the motor with the arduino 5V or with 12V external battery with about same results. This means the motor will only operate at near maximum PWM setting and not over the full range. Any way to get motor control over full (or at least wider) range of PWM? Also, do I need a flyback diode across this motor?
Thank you.
Wiring:
ERM POS to 5V arduino or 12V external battery
ERM NEG to TLC59711 PWM
arduino GND to TLC59711 GND and 12V external battery NEG
arduino 5V to TLC59711 VCC and V+
arduino Pin13 to TLC59711 CI
arduino Pin11 to TLC59711 DI
arduino powered by USB

Re: TLC59711
The TLC59711 is a constant-current driver. The output voltage will depend on the impedance of the load, not the supply voltage.but I am only getting a max of 2.4V from the TLC59711
