I would like to know if it's possible to build a ZigBee node with a Feather board? If yes, which type of Feather do I need, and what radio?

What is required to be a Zigbee node? there are several versions of feather that are capable micros and probably will work There is the 32u4 and the M0 along others.

I would think a zigbee board would be required for a zigbee node.

You can't "plug it in" to any of them but you can wire it to any of the ones with processors.
