Starting with raspberry pi 3

Post by asherfruit »

Ihi.  I've just try to install raspbian on my new pi and it seems broken.
I followed the tutorial on the raspberry website and all I get is white screen.
Putty also fail to connect with connection timed out  message . When I connecting the screen to my laptop it works well.

The os is raspbian, the screen is HDMI 5" from adafruit. The pi model is pi 3 B.
When I connect the screen to my laptop it woks perfect.

I'll check to see if there is anything else to check before replacing the pi.

Have you updated the RasPi's /boot/config.txt file as shown in the tutorial?
