Hi Michael,
Please post your issue in the forums. Our colleagues in the engineering and technical support forums will assist you with this type of question. They are also able to authorize replacements if necessary.
Please create a post in the appropriate forum here: http://www.adafruit.com/forums/
Here are some tips to help you place your support post:
1) Tell us what product you are asking about, your Adafruit order number, and when you purchased the item.
2) Post clear photos, focused, and detailed pictures of the front and back of the boards, as well as any connections to the board.
3) For software issues, please post the complete text of your IDE's error message. Please use the
Code: Select all
tag when posting error message as well as code.
4) If you are having trouble with a code sketch, please post or link to your entire source code. Again, please use the [code] tag when posting code.
5) If you are building a project from the Learning System, please post a link to the page you are having difficulty with.
For more details about posting on the technical support, check out our Customer Support Forum video here: http://youtu.be/HnTXXu9Bve0

Hi Stephanie,
Both dongles flash blue.
I can, however, when I attempt to run the nRF sniffer app, see three LED’s flash: blue, (as above); red; and amber (yellowish).

Hi Nick,
Please find attached pictures of the TOP side of the Bluefruit Friend modules which I received instead of Bluefruit Sniffer devices. I will attempt to identify the firmware, but had no luck just now as I moved to a different PC instead of my laptop.
Thanks in advance for your timely response. I will follow up with the additional information as soon as possible.
Best regards,
Michael

Hi Michael,
Please send photos of the top-sides of the modules for our team to review.
As noted in the New Products video for both the Sniffer and Friend, they look identical; the firmware loaded on the devices is different. Are you able to show the firmware on your devices is for the Friend and not the Sniffer? You should get some error when following the Sniffer Learn Guide for setup.
If you require technical assistance with this procedure a separate team of engineers provides technical assistance in the forums. They have extensive experience with our products, and are better equipped to guide these steps. Visit http://www.adafruit.com/forums/ to post your technical support request.

Hi,
I received two Bluefruit LE Friend modules instead of two Bluefruit LE Sniffers. See attached photo.
I am willing to keep the two Friend modules and and credit the difference towards receiving the two Sniffer module. I would like to use the difference in price paid towards purchase of two P2269 Sniffer devices and pay the difference required separately (PayPal and USPS Priority).
I would like to get the replacements as soon as possible, but understand storm will delay things. Let me know how this can be worked out.
Thanks for your help in advance!
Michael
