Hello educators & makers!
I'm looking for a ~$5 project (times quantity of 100) that I can do for students at a High School Esports Championship where they make their 'badge' that has some sort of making/hacking aspect. I would shell out the $7.16 for 100 of the Adafruit Trinket M0 if there's something cool i could do with it for cheap on top of that? It could be anything from drivng a cheap 7-segment display, some LEDs, a cheap LCD, or anything else that would involve the kids quickly leveraging a laptop/phone to configure/code a project that achieves some sort of 'result' - whether that's recording their name into the device, making something flash, making a speaker output some noise, anything I/O related that involves USB/RFID/JTAG/BT, anything else. Cost is my big concern as I don't have sponsors to pay for this, but i basically want 100 kids to have a little maker/CS "win" by forcing them to sit for a few mins and do a quick project in order to enjoy a day of Esports/gaming. Any thoughts?

Re: $5 hacking project
$7 gets you a Neo Trinkey which is M0 controller + NeoPixels + dual touch sensors.
