Keyboard to iPad or iPhone

Goal to get an simple keyboard to work with iPhone or iPad. I have build an keyboard with usb-c and it works great with my MacBook. But when I connect it though an adapter to my iPhone or iPad it do not work.

This is the adapter:

But it do work with an adapter from Apple like this one:

Please help me. I need to get this keyboard to work with an none Apple brand adapter.

As long as the keyboard works as a USB HID device, it should also work with an iPad or iPhone.

You may need to change the settings on the iPad or iPhone though. This page has information about using USB devices with the iPad or iPhone:

I do use HID devices. And it works great on my computer. But when I plug it in to my iPhone or iPad the board to not even light up and starts.
